Mindful Self-Esteem and Self-Care: Body Practices

Mindful Self-Esteem and Self-Care: Body Practices

  • September 12, 2016

This series continues to explore the relationship between mindful self-esteem and self-care through the foundational practices of mindfulness of the breath and now through mindfulness of the body. These foundational practices—both in stillness and movement—lay the conditions for a self-esteem that’s a relationship with life. They help you shift from being externally focused by seeking conditional acceptance to gain others approval, to being internally focused on cultivating qualities of self-acceptance and self-compassion—the essence of mindful self-esteem. Each entry begins with an excerpt from my book, 50 Mindful Steps to Self-Esteem: Everyday Practices for Cultivating Self-Acceptance and Self-Compassion and is followed with an inquiry and practice.
