Sacred Haiku

Sacred Haiku

  • January 4, 2016

Master mask maker.
Artisan of the sacred.
Breathe life into it.
-Janetti Marotta

This post is part of my Haiku series. If you haven’t already, please read my “Introduction to Haiku” post.

Short practice:
Thich Nhat Hahn has a saying: “Walk as if you’re kissing the earth.” He advises us to see life as a miracle. We take so much for granted we ignore how fortunate we are to be able to walk, have food on the table, live in a solid dwelling… As you move through the day, count your blessings.

“Everything is sacred.”
