Self-Importance Haiku

Self-Importance Haiku

  • December 21, 2015

Keepers of lost time.
In the recesses of mind.
Whispers in the dark.
-Janetti Marotta

This post is part of my Haiku series. If you haven’t already, please read my “Introduction to Haiku” post.

Short practice:
We are too often caught up in self-importance and a false delusion of permanence, even though we ourselves and everything around us is in constant state of flux. Feel the transitory nature of all things and give gratitude for the gift of life.

“A dream within a dream. All ephemeral.”
-Janetti Marotta
