More than a stress-reduction technique, mindfulness is a way of life. Through the practice of being aware to the present moment without judging yourself or your experience, such qualities as compassion, patience, and non-striving are cultivated. Rather than getting lost in past guilt and future worry, mindfulness gets you in touch with what you’re thinking and feeling in the present moment. You can then pause and consciously choose how you wish to respond.
