Letting Go Haiku

Letting Go Haiku

  • September 14, 2015

Dew clings to the branch.
Night bows to the rising sun.
It’s time to let go.
-Janetti Marotta

This post is part of my Haiku series. If you haven’t already, please read my “Introduction to Haiku” post.

Short practice:
According to Buddhist psychology, clinging is at the root of all suffering.  Notice how tightly you’re holding on to disturbing thoughts and distressing emotions.  Rather than stress having you in its grip, open your fist and let it go.  Always practice letting go.

“Everything can be eased by letting go.”
