Dragons in the clouds.
Thought streams floating upon time.
Leaving without trace.

This post is part of my Haiku series. If you haven’t already, please read my “Introduction to Haiku” post.
Short practice:
It’s easy to believe in your thoughts and build identity around what you say about yourself. All too often these thoughts lead to self-recrimination and alienation. But if you see thoughts as mental formations that move like clouds in the sky, this can help loosen the hold that thoughts have on you. By identifying thoughts as mental formations, you’re better able to witness thoughts and not be seduced by them.
“Mental formations—like clouds in the sky.”
